Sherry Please, We’re British & Loving The Recession.
PPQ, the Mayfair based British label held their bi-annual Fashion Week party at Leicester Square’s Cafe De Paris: What was up with the drink sponsor though? Sherry.. I mean, SHERRY!! We might be British but serving guests cocktails made from Sherry is just not on. Certainly it was unclear whether this was yet another recession based cut back “we’ll take any booze sponsor we can get for free” or some half cocked attempt at being thoroughly off-the-wall, but the vile red Sherry based Martini’s scored well below par. Bring on next season… these cutbacks just aren’t fashion.
ELEY KISHIMOTO the London based design duo, held a party with their latest collaborators EASTPAK half way up Centre Point Tower. At one time the tallest building in Central London, the panoramic view never fails to impress. As us Londoners rarely get up that high, we forget that the city at night can look like a magical place. Just like PPQ, there were some highly dubious cocktails being served.. let’s just say Angosta Bitters have their time and place and it’s usually at the back of the drinks cupboard. The great thing about Mark Eley, our “Man of the moment who wears a beard”, is he seriously knows how to party.

Sunset strip? Broadway?? No… Oxford Street seen from the Centre Point Tower.
